If A Thing Is Worth Doing, It’s Worth Doing Badly.

We have all been told to put 110% into everything we do. But what happens if you can’t do it 110%, is it worth doing it at all?

I like the quote from G. K. Chesterton, “if a thing is worth doing, it’s worth doing badly.” This should be how we look at things, giving us permission to do things at 80%, 60% or even 20%. Doing something is better than doing nothing at all.

If you are supposed to workout 150 mins a week (roughly 30 mins a day), then doing 10 mins is better than nothing.

If you are supposed to floss your teeth daily, then doing it once a week is better than nothing.

If you are supposed to eat healthy, then eating one healthy meal a day is better than nothing.

Small changes or progress is better than nothing. If you are struggling making life changes or struggling to reach your goals is it OK to start small and work your way up.
